Watchdog says connection operators must update client bases by 2024

SOCHI, Oct 24 (PRIME) -- Russian operators must update their subscriber bases till the end of 2023, the communications service’s Director Andrei Lipov said on Tuesday.

“In accordance with federal law 319, this year the service organized monitoring of compliance with the requirements to identification of the subscribers by the operators,” Lipov said.

“We completed creation of a special system which was joined by all the operators providing mobile connection services.”

The system checks data received from the operators and takes into account the information systems of the Interior Ministry, the Federal Tax Service, and the unified system of identification and authentication, he added.
